SOUNDCHECK CUSTOM COMMANDS 


These commands come standard with a Soundcheck Smart Home Installation, Scroll down for more commands, Easter Eggs, and other goodies!



If you say “Ok Google....


“Im Leaving”

  • turns off the a/c
  • Stop playing music / video
  • Turn off the tv
  • Turn off the fan
  • Arm security system (if available)


“Im Home”

  • tell me the current temperature and humidity
  • Turn on Aircon and / or Fan
  • Run up to 6 custom google home commands, e.g. “Tell me the price of Bitcoin in USD”, then,
  • plays Music : News : Podcast : Radio : Audiobook : Nothing


“Good Morning”

  • tell me about the weather today
  • Takes phone off silent (Android Only)
  • plays Music : News : Podcast : Radio : Audiobook


“Bedtime”

  • Put (android) phone on silent
  • Tell me tomorrows weather
  • Ask what time the alarm should be set
  • Turn off TV
  • Play Sleep Sounds or Music for x minutes



Aircon Automation


“Hey google, activate Quick : Medium : Long Chill”

  • Turns on the aircon for 10 : 30 : 60 minutes


“Hey google, activate Night Chill”

  • turns on aircon to favourite night temperature, automatically turns off at 9am


“Hey Google, turn On : Off the Aircon”

  • works remotely, to start the aircon before you get home



TV Automation


“Hey google, activate Entertainment System On”

  • turns on TV, Set top box (STB), android box, home theatre (as available) in the correct order


“Hey google, activate Entertainment System off”

  • turns everything above off


“Hey google, activate BBC World : CNN : Discovery Channel : etc ”

  • switches tv input to the STB and changes channel to whatever channel you say
  • 6 channels programmed standard, unlimited available


“Hey google, activate Android : DVD : Satellite : Cable TV : Playstation”

  • switches TV input to different source


“OK, Google, set volume to 50%,” or,

“OK, Google, volume down on [Chromecast name].”

  • Change Chromecast volume


“OK, Google, mute [Chromecast]” or

“OK, Google, unmute [Chromecast name].”


“OK, Google, show me a picture of an antelope.”

  • shows images from google image search


“OK, Google, show me the weather on [Chromecast name].”

  • displays weather information on your tv

Alarms


  • Set an alarm: “Hey Google, set an alarm for 7 AM”, “Hey Google, set an alarm for every Friday morning at 7 AM”, “Hey Google, set an alarm in 25 minutes” or “Hey Google, wake me up at 7 AM every day.”
  • Set a kids-themed alarm: “Ok Google, set a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle alarm for 8 p.m.”
  • Check your alarms: “Hey Google, when is my next alarm?”
  • Snooze an alarm: “Hey Google, snooze alarm.”

Requesting specific episodes / seasons of a TV series is not currently supported.
